Rembrandt Autumn/Winter 2016 “Influence”

‘He who influences the thought of his times influences the times that follow.’ -Elbert Hubbard
Since 1927, TIME Magazine has chosen to profile a person, couple, group, idea, place, or machine that, for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year. For winter 2016, New Zealand’s premiere suiting brand Rembrandt celebrates the achievements of some of the men upon whom this honor was bestowed.
“Though TIME’s man of the year list is not an academic or objective study of the past, the list gives a contemporary viewpoint of those who were of influence on societal, political, or economic levels,” says Rembrandt designer Jonathon Hall. “Winston Churchill, JFK, Martin Luther King and Bill Clinton all achieved great success and along the way were featured, at least once, on the cover of Time magazine’s Man of the Year issue,” he says. “The winter 2016 style references these men and their Influence on the world.”
The key color trend in the collection is classic navy in various dark shades for business, alongside lighter hues that offer young, fresh and fashionable options. Silhouettes return to an overtly masculine form. Like the men that inspired them, garments in the collection are named after some of the most influential men of yesteryear and the styles or eras of fashion they reflect.
“Your winter wardrobe should be sharp, but still warm and inviting,” says Hall. “It should exemplify everything that you stand for; and when paired with Rembrandt’s 100% leather accessories, any man in Rembrandt should be ready to exert his Influence.”
