Paris Fashion Week 2016: Menswear Wrap Up

While the Milan Men’s Fashion Week Spring 2016 saw a dose of color blocking, I would say that it was particularly alive in Paris last week.

Paul Smith used the technique in a naval feel with triad color palette of blue, black, and orange.

Nor was the technique absent from Lanvin’s collection, which featured military-inspired pieces in assorted blocking of colors.

Although a spectrum of colors appeared on the runway, the color base hovered around navy blue and neutral tones.

Plaids and tablecloth checkerboard prints also graced the runways, as with the collection of Raf Simons.

To my joy, Songzio threw in a slight 1920’s Jazz Suit flair, playing on the 2-toned shoes and boots, which are known as “Spectators.”
